GEO|ADS is a platform for geo-aware advertising, that is advertising that takes into account the location of both the recipient and the advertiser. The platform takes into account a number of criteria, including information context, spatial and temporal matching, serving end-users with local, targeted and relevant ads, thus maximising the potential for advertisers and enabling freeware application developers to monetise their work. The platform was launched in February 2009.

Two Programmes, Infinite Possibilities

GEO|ADS is available to advertisers with two main programmes, immediately available for purchase:

GEO|ADS Basic is an entry-level programme offering one geo-targeted local advertisement with a radius of 1km. It is prepaid and billable on a monthly basis. The programme is complemented with detailed analytics including impressions and clicks for each individual ad (as well as aggregates).

The Basic programme is suited to small and medium-sized businesses with single point of presence and a low-budget for advertising. It is an excellent alternative to flyers, brochures, leaflets, posters or other expensive, paper-based low-end advertising solutions that are typically low-impact and not targeted. Prime businesses for the Basic programme are local restaurants, family businesses, video clubs, retail shops etc.

The Basic programme is very affordable, both compared to the traditional alternatives open to SMEs, but also given that ads are targeted both geographically and by application context.

GEO|ADS Premium is our premium programme offering geo-targeted local advertisements with a radius of 1km each, billable on a monthly, quarterly or semi-annual basis. GEO|ADS Premium comes with advanced analytics that include visual geographic representation of impressions, clicks and conversions (when available; requires end-user workflow/ERP/CRM software support).

This programme is suited to medium and large businesses with multiple points of presence; its unparalleled analytics provide a unique insight on user interaction, shopping habits and development trends in the region where ads are running.

Exclusive Programmes

In addition to the main geo-aware advertising programmes, GEO|ADS offers advertisers traditional advertising options. 'Global' ads, that is 'Globally' available advertising within a region, city or country, as well as 'Roadblocks' (exclusive use of the whole ad-network for a limited amount of time; particularly useful for high-impact events, large openings, concerts, etc.) are available with very limited slots on a first-come-first-serve basis and only with arrangement. Open.

GEO|ADS is based on Open Standards. This means it probably already works with your industry standard infrastructure (or it is really easy to make it do so). Already, the client software has been incorporated in the first applications on the Apple iPhone. Additional platforms are currently being developed. The GEO|ADS service is currently open to advertisers from organisations registered in the European Union. Support for advertisers in the United States and Canada as well as publishers/developers will be introduced in Q1 2010.

Superb Analytics

The GEO|ADS platform provides rich, useful analytics to its clients, whether they are large advertising agencies, corporate marketing departments or small-business owners. Ad Interactivity is tracked, analysed and presented in a usable form containing a wealth of information including impressions, clicks and conversions*. GEO|ADS takes mobile advertising analytics a step further. The platform makes use of the geographic information used to serve context-specific ads, to create a rich, GIS-enabled view of how ads fared in different parts of a city or region. Customers can literally see which parts of a city saw the highest impressions, clicks or conversions. This is achieved through aggregated geographic information, which can be retrieved and processed in several ways, including popular formats like KML for use with Google's Earth or Maps services.
